This solar eclipse is occurring at approximately 19 degrees in the sign of Gemini. The energy of a solar eclipse is that of a heightened new moon. New moon/solar eclipse energy is one for new beginnings, trying something different or expanding on a project you are currently working on. On a basic level Gemini deals with information and communication. I’m going to refer to this solar eclipse as the bearer of ultimate truth.
One reason is Mercury (the ruling planet of Gemini) is conjunct this solar eclipse and it is retrograde. When we have planets in retrograde they can give off the energy of needing to revisit, rethink, review, or redo something. Sure Mercury retrograde can be a hectic time, but it’s also an indication that maybe we need to slow down and think/work things through more clearly.
Another important factor with this eclipse is that the north node/Rahu is also in Gemini. North node/Rahu is like a destiny point indicating the direction we should be moving towards. In this case clarity, a better understanding, quite simply, the truth. Look at all the lies, corruption, and pure deception going on in the world today. Slow truths are starting to be revealed and these should continue in the coming months.
I feel that time (in a strange way) is also associated with this eclipse. For one reason or another we are all.....off. Some people think it’s this year, others think we’re in another......we’re using calendar systems that simply aren’t correct. We could argue that the 13 moon calendar would be more approximate and a definitive way to keep up with time, but then we know mathematically that sometimes the planets are slightly off and they are not precisely the same 𝑎𝑙𝑙 the time. Given that ideology, nobody knows exactly what “time” it is. Some would argue that it doesn’t matter, but does it? A higher truth is that time is an illusion, so why then 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠 it matter?
